BIO

Greety Antony is an academic and a registered nurse. She is currently a Lecturer at the Institute of Health and Management, Melbourne, and a Sessional Academic at Australian Catholic University. Alongside her academic roles, she continues clinical practice as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse with Mercy Health.

Greety is currently pursuing PhD at the Judith Lumley Centre, La Trobe University, where her research interests focus on mental health, perinatal and migrant wellbeing. She has previously worked as a Research Fellow on a Wellcome Trust–funded randomised controlled trial examining lifestyle interventions for pre-diabetes at St John’s National Academy of Health Sciences, India.

Her academic background includes a Master of Mental Health Nursing, a Master of Counselling Psychology, and a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education. She has published peer-reviewed research in the areas of stress management, academic performance, and psychological wellbeing, and has received the Rajiv Gandhi University Gold Medal for academic excellence.

Greety brings a strong interdisciplinary perspective to her teaching and research, informed by clinical experience, research training, and a commitment to evidence-based practice in mental health and nursing education.
