Mr Bijo is the Founder, Managing Director and CEO of the HCI Australia. His demonstrated passion towards education, entrepreneurship and technology has shaped the vision of the HCI Australia.

Equipped with a Master’s in Business Administration and qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Mr Bijo has had extensive project management and business management experience in a career that has spanned over three decades. By leveraging this experience, he has enabled new and innovative programs that have made a significant impact in career-focused healthcare training. Mr Bijo has worked world-wide and has distinguished himself as a well-respected and prominent community figure in Australia, Malaysia and India. As the Managing Director of HCI, he oversees and manages the operational activities, systems and policy implementation of the organisation. He’s also a member of GAICD (Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors) and is currently working towards a PhD in Corporate Governance in the Educational Sector at Swinburne University.

Institute of Health & Management (IHM)
In February 2012, the Institute of Health & Management (IHM) was established. Since then, IHM has been recognised as a higher education institution. The Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency of the Australian Government grants this status. The Institute of Health & Management (IHM) was formed in 2015 and focuses on the development and delivery of health-related higher education courses. Experienced nurses, professors and clinicians contribute to these postgraduate courses. In 2021, IHM will become the first private higher education school in Australia to offer a Master of Nursing programme! IHM’s aim is to become an Australian University College by 2030 and in order to achieve this, we are continuously working to incorporate the finest technology-based resources into our curriculum in order to provide our students with an unrivalled training experience. IHM places a strong emphasis on innovative and technological breakthroughs in learning and teaching. HCI Education Hubs
The HCI Learning Hub is an online learning platform for healthcare students and professionals from all around the world. They may work together online, network with peers and educators and use a plethora of online resources to improve their knowledge and abilities and bring them up to date with global best practises and curriculum. HCI Education Hubs Pty Ltd is a subsidiary of HCI Australia, a Melbourne-based healthcare education company. Education Hubs enable students and businesses open doors to a new world of exciting new courses and career possibilities, all offered at times that are convenient for the student – their work and other obligations. Learning, Work and Life, we believe, should all coexist. We also recognise that the majority of students work and study, thus tutorials for students in the midst of a shift or late at night are of limited value. Within this initiative, a central function of an Education Hub is to connect labour market supply with demand for qualified individuals by assessing and analysing labour market possibilities in partner and possible host nations.
Edusystem
HCI Australia’s technology branch is Edusystems. It creates cutting-edge online applications and enterprise systems to help clients better manage their compliance, quality processes and communication with internal and external stakeholders. We identified a challenge after 5 years of managing an Australia Registered Training Organisation (RTO). The existing Student Management Systems (SMS) on the market were unable to give us with the data we wanted in a timely and cost-effective manner in order to fulfil the auditing body’s compliance criteria. As a result, we found ourselves surrounded by heaps of paperwork, combing through each one manually to get the information we needed. We realised we weren’t alone at that point! Edusystems was founded in 2012 as a result of this finding and by the following year, we had built our own fully customised SMS platform, Knowledge Hub, from the scratch. Since then, Knowledge Hub has effectively assisted IHNA and IHM in meeting all regulatory organisations’ compliance requirements, including ASQA, TEQSA, ANMAC, CRICOS, ESOS and many more… Knowledge Hub has developed into two versions, KHLite and KH Enterprise and currently serves numerous educational establishments throughout Southeast Asia, much as it did for HCI Australia enterprises in the beginning. EduSystems has expanded to a staff of over 60 experts that provide educational establishments across the world with bespoke software development, technical solutions consulting and multimedia content production.

We’ve seen rapid technical improvements in HealthTech and MedTech every day over the last decade as we’ve sent graduates into the field. This got us thinking about all of the ways that technology may revolutionise healthcare. After a while, we wondered why they were limited to simply dreams. As a result, Healthovation came into life. Healthovation has primarily focused on the research, development and commercialisation of new technologies aimed at improving the lives of students, professionals and clients in the health care industry. The application of robotic technology for in-home care and the creation of a nursing simulation eco-system are two of our current initiatives. In a way, we could rightly cherish Healthovation as the child of our parent company, HCI Australia (HCI), whose vast experience, industry know-how and best practices in the health care education sector has helped nurture Healthovation into an epitome of innovation in the true sense of the word. Innovation is rooted in the DNA of HCI. For the past 13 years, HCI has been specializing in health care courses both in the Vocational as well as Higher Education sector. During this time, HCI has excelled at everything, right from delivering technology enhanced learning for our students to developing our own Student Management System. SpaceiMax
Space I max has fully serviced educational campus infrastructure in Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia. We intend to promote sustainability through sharing our fully furnished infrastructure with external clients. We have mapped bookable spaces which can be accessed by the clients through our user friendly platform. Making use of our infrastructure in various locations enables the client business to scale itself across Australia.
Robotics
So you’ve validated the “What if” next is “What could this look like?”. We work with research organisations and individuals to test, pilot and prototype digital health products. Robotics for healthcare might sound futuristic, but they have been making their presence felt for a while. We have more seniors setting their foot in aged care centres than ever before and ageing with complex needs thus leading to a crisis. However, we are not well prepared for this situation with adequately trained staff. The application of robotic technology for in-home care and the creation of a nursing simulation eco-system are two of our current initiatives.
