Dr. Zubair Ahmed Ratan is a globally recognized public health researcher specializing in digital health and telemedicine. He completed his PhD in Public Health at the University of Wollongong. Before pursuing his PhD, he earned his MBBS in Bangladesh and MSc in Genetic Engineering in South Korea. His research, published in top-tier journals, has accumulated over 6,000 citations with an h-index of 27. Dr. Ratan has secured ten competitive research grants totalling $83,528 and received prestigious awards, including UOW’s Open Access HDR Award. His leadership is further demonstrated by his editorial and peer review contributions to high-impact journals like PLOS ONE, BMC Psychiatry, and Frontiers in Public Health. Internationally, he has been a guest speaker at major conferences, including the IX International Congress on Psychological, Educational, and Health Contexts in Spain, and has presented at renowned events such as the Human Biology Association Annual Meeting in Los Angeles. As a lecturer at the University of Wollongong, he has been recognized for excellence in teaching with a Vice-Chancellor’s OCTAL Award nomination. Dr. Ratan’s research continues to drive transformative solutions in digital health and public health, particularly in underserved communities.
