BIO

Dr. Priyanka Malaiyappan is a dedicated healthcare professional and public health researcher with an interdisciplinary background in medicine, public health, and community health. She currently serves as the Research and Innovation Coordinator at the Institute of Health and Management (IHM), Australia, where she leads research development initiatives, supports academic and scholarly activities, and promotes innovation in healthcare education.

She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Vinayaka Mission University, India, where she was awarded a Gold Medal for academic excellence, and a Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, India.

Her career combines clinical practice, healthcare management, and research. She has previously worked as a Consultant Physician and Healthcare Consultant, contributing to hospital operations, advisory services, and healthcare administration. She has also played an active role in community health and public health initiatives through collaborations with non-governmental organizations and other health programs.

Currently, she oversees research projects, mentors students and faculty in research and scholarly activities, and collaborates with external partners, healthcare organizations, and academic institutions. Her research interests include public health, health systems, health policy, and health services research. She has further strengthened her expertise through participation in numerous workshops, conferences, and professional development programs.

As a Registered Medical Practitioner, she is committed to advancing healthcare through innovation, evidence-based practice, research, and education. She is passionate about improving health outcomes and promoting equitable healthcare access across diverse communities.
