BIO

Dr David Lukudu is an experienced social work practitioner, educator, lecturer in social work and business studies, and higher education leader, with extensive experience in social work practice, field education, curriculum development, and higher education in Australia and overseas. David worked across government, non-government, community, and human service organisations, with experience spanning social work, community development, child and family services, and refugee and migrant settlement. He has served as Field Education Lead and Lecturer for the Master of Social Work at SCEI-He and currently serves as Placement Coordinator for the Bachelor of Social Work at IHM, with expertise in placement coordination and supervision, curriculum development, industry partnerships, academic quality, and professional accreditation. His teaching philosophy is student-focused and evidence-based, emphasising inclusive and engaging learning, the development of professional capability, critical reflection, and the integration of contemporary research and practice evidence to prepare students for effective professional practice. David holds a Doctor of Business Administration, Master of Business, Master of Social Work, and Bachelor of Commerce (International Trade) and is a full member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). His professional interests include field education, social work pedagogy, evidence-based teaching and practice, professional capability development, culturally responsive practice, and community engagement
