About the Course

The demand for Aged Care nurse specialists is very high and is expected to continue growing with 14,000 new Aged Care nurses required in Australia. With such good employment prospects in Australia and around the world, now is the time to become a specialist Aged Care nurse by studying the Graduate Certificate in Advanced Nursing (Gerontology).

This six-month Advanced Post-Graduate course will prepare registered nurses to provide care to the elderly and expand nursing knowledge and skills in chronic illnesses, dementia, and end-of-life care for complex ageing populations.

Australian registered nurses will earn back their course fees in no time through the qualifications allowance which pays additional salary to Australian nurses who have completed Post Graduate qualifications that assist in performing their role and assist in maintaining quality patient care.

The Graduate Certificate in Advanced Nursing also serves as a gateway for students wanting to pursue a Master of Nursing degree in Australia, either on-campus or online.
