Wilma Jasmine Crasta, a lecturer at the School of Nursing, IHM, and also coordinates
for CDU (external) at Melbourne CBD campus. Graduated from Dr.M.V.Shetty College of
Nursing, Mangalore affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences,
Karnataka, India in 2011. After graduating in 2011, I worked as a trainee Nurse at
Goa Manipal Cancer Research Hospital, and also, worked as a Community Health
Educator, participating in various community and public health programs conducted by
state and national government. This role motivated to further explore and specialise
in Community/ Public Health. In 2015, I came to Australia to pursue my Master in
Public Health from Flinders University, and thereafter MBA from Torrens University,
Adelaide, SA. Got registered with AHPRA and worked as a registered nurse in both
Residential Aged Care Facility (Infin8 Care) and at a private hospital- Healthscope.
While being an international student, I have also worked as a Diversional Therapist
at Infin8 care and volunteered as Community Educator/Emergency Preparedness
Facilitator for Australian Red Cross.
I’ve been passionately working as a lecturer and simulation lab instructor since
January 2022 facilitating both internal and external students working towards
achieving the organisation’s common goal.
