Simer Preet Kaur is a dedicated and compassionate nursing professional with a strong academic background and extensive experience in clinical practice and nursing education. She completed her Bachelor of Nursing (2005) from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru, followed by a Master of Nursing (2008) from Maharashtra University, Nashik. Over the course of ten years working as a Nurse Educator in India, she contributed to the development, training, and assessment of diverse cohorts of nursing students across multiple institutions. Her interest in advancing nursing knowledge also led her to publish six research articles in indexed journals.
In 2024, she commenced her Doctor of Philosophy (Nursing), with a vision to further enhance her expertise, contribute to evidence-based practice, and take on expanded roles within gerontological nursing. Her research focuses on developing coping strategies for nurses working with dementia patients. Since obtaining her nursing registration in Australia, she has been working with Western Health, Melbourne, where she has gained valuable experience in the Australian healthcare system and provided comprehensive, patient-centred care.
With a blend of academic achievement, research involvement, clinical expertise, and international educational experience, she remains passionate about contributing to high-quality nursing practice and advancing the profession through leadership, scholarship, and compassionate care.
