Lecturer (Level A), School of Nursing, IHM
BIO
I am an experienced Registered Nurse specialising in critical care, with professional registration in both the United Kingdom and Australia. My clinical background spans intensive care, cardiology, haematology–oncology, and stem cell transplantation. I hold an MSc in Adult Nursing from the University of East Anglia and a BA (Hons) in History, and I am currently practising at St Vincent’s Public Hospital in Sydney within a specialised haematology and bone marrow, and stem-cell transplant unit. I am experienced in caring for critically unwell patients, managing complex pharmacology, advanced life support, mechanical ventilation, hemofiltration, chemotherapy administration, and providing high-quality end-of-life care within fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments.
Alongside my clinical practice, I am passionate about nursing education and professional development. I have held Associate Lecturer and Lecturer roles with the University of East Anglia, in the UK, and the Institute of Health and Management, delivering teaching across acute care, sepsis, anatomy and physiology, pharmacotherapeutics, and clinical simulation. I contribute to assessment, moderation, and research activity, and I am committed to supporting the development of future nurses through evidence-based, interactive learning approaches. My combined clinical and academic experience has shaped me into a confident, compassionate clinician and educator, dedicated to excellence in patient care, teaching, and ongoing professional growth.
