Dr. Balasankar Ganesan is a distinguished researcher and clinician, ranked among the top 2% of scientists globally in clinical medicine, as recognized by the 2025, 2024 Stanford and Elsevier rankings. With numerous publications in prestigious journals, including The Lancet, his work has made a significant impact on the field. Dr. Ganesan holds dual PhDs in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU). He also earned a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from HKPU and recently completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a research specialization from the University of Wollongong, Australia.

Dr. Ganesan’s research expertise spans digital health technology, ageing, stroke, and the global burden of diseases. As a recognized leader in health promotion and policy, he continues to contribute to global health initiatives and shape the future of healthcare delivery. Ageing Stroke Rehabilitation Clubfoot Digital Health Global Health

Aging – Investigating healthy aging, age-related functional decline, and strategies to support independence through digital and rehabilitation innovations.

Stroke Rehabilitation– Developing and evaluating technology-assisted rehabilitation models, wearable systems, and community-based programs to improve functional recovery and long-term outcomes for stroke survivors.

Clubfoot – Contributing to research on early detection, intervention models, treatment optimisation, and long-term functional outcomes for individuals with congenital clubfoot, including community-level rehabilitation approaches.

Digital Health – Exploring telehealth, mobile health, AI-enabled care, remote monitoring tools, and data-driven healthcare delivery to enhance clinical decision-making and accessibility.
