BIO
Dr. Abhishek Sharma holds a PhD in Business Management and a Graduate Certificate in Research and Innovation Management from Swinburne University of Technology. As a Fellow of Advance HE, UK, he is recognized for his commitment to teaching excellence and his significant contributions to higher education pedagogy. In addition to his academic credentials, he is also a Certified Carbon Literate professional, accredited through the UK-based Carbon Literacy Project, demonstrating his engagement with sustainability and climate education initiatives. His research expertise spans both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, and he is highly proficient in advanced analytical tools including SPSS, AMOS, NVivo, Fireflies, and EndNote.
Dr. Sharma currently serves as Senior Lecturer and Research & Innovation Manager at the Institute of Health & Management (IHM Australia). In this role, he leads the design and delivery of units in social research frameworks and methods, ensuring curriculum innovation and academic excellence aligned with TEQSA requirements. He also oversees the development and implementation of research projects through the establishment of a Low-Risk Research Panel, ensuring compliance, quality, and ethical integrity across all low-risk research initiatives.
In addition, Dr. Sharma manages institutional registrations with external stakeholders such as WIL Australia, VIEA, Willum Warrain, and Reconciliation WA, and facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration through academic events, including the IHM Seminar Series and Guest Lecture Series. He also supports IHM’s global rankings and contributes to the preparation of prestigious institutional award nominations.
Furthermore, as an Academic Integrity Ethics Officer, Dr. Sharma oversees the implementation of academic integrity policies and procedures, delivers training to staff and students, and promotes the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence in teaching, learning, and research (from 2026 onwards).
Dr. Sharma also serves as an Editorial Board Member for Edelweiss Applied Science and Technology (Scopus Q3) and has served as a peer reviewer for several A-ranked/Q1 journals, supporting the advancement of scholarly research in his field. In addition, he contributes to academic publishing as an editor for Healthovation Magazine, an industry-focused publication exploring innovations in the healthcare and higher education sectors.
