About the Course

The online and part-time Master of Nursing program at IHM is designed to meet the needs of Australian nurses who are already employed. Nurses have the choice of studying one unit at a time in order to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Nurses studying the course online have the choice to pursue one of the thirteen available Graduate Certificate in Advanced Nursing specialisations. This will make it easier for nurses to enhance their careers by acquiring a credential in their present working setting or transitioning to a different specialty. Graduate Certificate in Advanced Nursing to Master of Nursing credit transfer allows nurses to proceed with Master of Nursing coursework.

Newly-graduated nurses who enter the job as registered nurses are eligible to begin the specialized program and get their master’s degree in nursing part-time in four years. Students have the option of increasing the number of units per semester to complete the course more quickly or taking a break and picking up where they left off later.

FEE-HELP is an Australian government loan program designed to assist eligible fee-paying students in paying their tuition fees for higher education courses at approved institutions. It operates similarly to the HECS-HELP scheme but applies to students undertaking fee-paying undergraduate, postgraduate, or vocational education and training (VET) courses at approved providers.

Through FEE-HELP, eligible students can borrow funds from the government to cover all or part of their tuition fees, and they repay the loan through the taxation system once their income reaches a certain threshold. This system aims to make tertiary education more accessible to students by allowing them to defer their upfront tuition costs until they are earning a sufficient income.
