About the Course

This specialisation will equip you to assess nursing needs for critically ill patients in a variety of clinical settings and to predict and react to changes in your patient’s condition. Critical care nursing in an emergency setting demands knowledge, confidence, and abilities to care for patients successfully.

The course is offered online and includes a requirement to work in a critical care setting under supervision while studying the course.

The Graduate Certificate in Advanced Nursing – Critical Care Nursing will enhance your current nursing knowledge and abilities by developing critical care nursing methods and specialised talents. You will feel confident in your ability to utilise these abilities while caring for patients.

The course encourages nurses to broaden their area of practise by focusing on the evaluation and nursing treatment of critically sick clients. Clinical reasoning abilities and evidence-based specialised nursing knowledge will be used to connect theoretical critical care knowledge to current nursing practice.

The Graduate Certificate in Advanced Nursing also serves as a gateway for students wanting to pursue a Master of Nursing degree in Australia, either on-campus or online.
