The School of American Education (SAE) is a new initiative by the Institute of Health and Management (IHM), Australia, offering pathway programs that lead to master’s degrees at Arizona State University(ASU) in the United States.
By partnering with Arizona State University(ASU), the most innovative university* in the US and the world according to the 2025 U.S News and World Report rankings, SAE offers cutting-edge programs in health, engineering, and management. By fostering interdisciplinary learning and a global perspective, SAE equips students with the skills, knowledge, and adaptability needed to thrive in today’s dynamic job market and excel in careers across diverse, interconnected industries.
This pathway program offers students a unique opportunity to complete six months of online study at IHM, followed by one year of on-campus education at Arizona State University(ASU), totaling 1 to 1.5 years of university-level education. Upon successful completion, students will receive a certificate from IHM and a master’s degree from ASU. Additionally, depending on the chosen program, students may be eligible to work legally in the U.S. for up to three years after graduation. Throughout the program, students benefit from the expertise of distinguished faculty members at both IHM in Australia and ASU in the United States. The faculty at IHM are experienced in delivering cutting-edge knowledge in fields such as digital innovation, technology management, healthcare, and business management, equipping students with the necessary skills for success in today’s rapidly changing industries. After successfully completing the online component at IHM, students will continue their education at ASU, engaging with top-tier faculty known for their research, industry connections, and innovations. This combination of academic excellence from two prestigious institutions ensures a comprehensive and enriching learning experience, preparing graduates for successful careers in their chosen fields.

After completing this pathway master’s degree, students on an F-1 visa may be eligible for an Optional Practical Training (OPT) extension of up to 36 months. This extension provides an opportunity for international students to gain valuable skills and work experience in the United States. Please note that the OPT extension applies only to students on an F-1 visa and does not apply to those completing the degree through ASU Online.
