Admission Requirements

  • These courses are exclusively available to registered nurses from any country (including their home country) who have completed GNMs or a three-year diploma in nursing with at least three years of relevant experience. Alternatively, B.Sc. nurses without experience are also eligible to apply for these courses.
  • Either a continuous five years of study in an English medium (including their highest qualification) or the successful completion of the IHM English test is required.

  • Shorter duration: The course has a shorter duration compared to other universities or institutes.
  • Open to all: IHM is open to registered nurses from any country (including their home country) to join this course. However, other universities offering the same courses typically require registration as a registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and 12 months of recent clinical experience in Australia as a registered nurse.
  • English language tests not required: IELTS and TOEFL scores are not required at IHM. In contrast, other universities offering the same courses typically require an IELTS or TOEFL score.

Credit transfer is possible for the Master's program, allowing you to skip the first semester of the Master of Nursing course upon completion of the GCAN Online course.
